Exciting news for you if you are planning a Disneyland vacation this year! Starting April 13, 2018, they will begin celebrating the brand new, one-of-a-kind Pixar Fest. The new celebration features new experiences across both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland Park with the return of the Pixar Play Parade, and the all new Together Forever РA Pixar Nightime Spectacular.  Besides the new fireworks spectacular, the return of the fan-favorite Disney Paint the Night Parade and the new Pixar-themed neighborhoods at Pixar Pier which will open this summer.

This summer Disney California Adventure Park will be opening Pixar Pier along the southern shore of Paradise Bay and will have new attractions, food, and merchandise  with 4 popular themed areas featuring popular Pixar characters such as Toy Story, The Incredibles, and Inside Out. To make room for all of the new additions, California Screamin' Attraction has closed as of January 8th.  Ariel's Grotto Restaurant and The Cove Bar will be transformed into a lounge and grill that will have views of Paradise Bay and the new Pixar Pier. The Little Mermaid attraction, Goofy's Sky School, and other attractions that were part of Paradise Pier will be the area renamed Paradise Park.

Sometimes it's hard to accept familiar favorites being closed or changed, but one thing Disney has always done is make sure the new attractions are not only equivalent, but even better. It was always Walt's dream to expand and continually upgrade the parks to keep them new and exciting and memorable for the guests to return year after year. It is his legacy and the Imagineers work tirelessly to keep it alive. I can't wait to see all of the new additions and changes. I'm also excited that with all the new stuff, we will see the return of some of my favorite parades and night shows.

There are also rumors that Downtown Disney will close to add another resort hotel. Be sure to sign up for my monthly newsletter so you can keep up with all of the news from all of the Disney Parks!
