Disney Dining Plan 101: Part Three

Guide To Learning About Table Service

This is my favorite dining plan. With the table service plan you get one Quick Service meal credit and one Table Service meal and two snack credits for each person in your party for each day of your resort stay. If you didnt get a chance to read my post on Quick Service, that is also called counter service as you walk up to the counter to order your meal, like fast food only Disney offers much more than your typical fast food restaurant. Table service is like going into a restaurant, being seated, and somebody comes to take your order. Buffets are also considered table service. The best thing about the Table Service plan is the buffets and character meals.
These can be rather costly if  you are trying to do these without the dining plan. Weve spent over a hundred dollars for one character meal for the four of us. I feel like you really get your moneys worth with this plan. This plan is also good for adults traveling without kids as you can find some really wonderful places to dine on this plan. If you do have kids and they are excited about meeting characters then there are lots to choose from and you can do one each day of your stay. If you are not sure what character dining is, these meals include Disney characters visiting your table for pics and autographs. There are quite a few choices depending on what characters your kids want to see. You can look them all up on the Disney Dining  website. Click the filter to choose character dining and you will get a list of all your options. This is where you will also make reservations which are highly recommended. You can make your dining reservations 180 days in advance of your day of arrival. I highly recommend making reservations as soon as the 180 days allows. The character meals sell out very fast. Weve actually planned our days around when we can get the reservations we want.
The cost of the Table Service Dining Plan 2017 runs $69.35 per adult per night of your stay. The cost for children 3 to 9 is $24.95 per child per night of your stay. The prices for 2018 are $75.49 per adult and $25.75 per child. These prices do include tax but not gratuity. As with the Quick Service meal, you also get two snacks per day and a refillable resort mug per person in your party.
